JOB DETAILS
A great role for someone looking to work with hands-on commercial contracts to deliver projects which improve the environment. Working with the Commercial Manager to optimise our commercial position, mitigate exposure to commercial risk and assist in performance analysis of subcontracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Using company risk analysis tool to review contractual documentation
•Where appropriate, engage with clients alongside the Area Manager to negotiate terms outside of agreed parameters
•Liaise with Area Managers and provide status updates on contracts under review
•Pricing of Compensation Events with support from Commercial Manager & Tendering Department
•Assisting Commercial Manager in various cost reporting/assurance exercises
•Sometimes provide extra resource to the Tendering team to prepare project costing for tenders, including materials, quantities, labour, and time
•Develop a sound working knowledge of the company's technologies (training will be provided).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
•Experience within construction/engineering sectors (desirable)
•Commercial/contractual awareness (management accounting/legal experience desirable but not essential)
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
•Proven analytical & organisational skills
•Experience using Microsoft packages
