Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain training materials supporting the Caledonian Sleeper employees and their future development (online and classroom based).
- Design, produce and deliver induction to staff employed in the Serco Caledonian Sleeper
- Maintain all L&D documentation in line with document control, including Learning Management System (LMS), and supporting material such as own workflow SMART objectives, user guides, and training materials
- Ensure individuals and teams training needs are met by building relationships across the organisation to understand training needs, in line with PDR outputs and Viewpoint comments
- Carry out appropriate training needs analysis (TNA) and identify gaps
- Manage and develop the evaluation process from Kirkpatrick levels 1 to 4 and ensure continuous improvement across current curriculum and delivery methods
- Assist with formulating training strategy and planning future training needs, develop an ongoing 12-month plan for learning including Annual Recurring Training (ART)
- Coordinate with external learning providers to facilitate the CPD of all team members across the organisation
- Ensure consistent high level of quality in all internal training delivery is maintained
- Support the development of a variety of levels within the QCF and SQCF inclusive of NVQ and SVQ qualifications and any HE/FE accreditation processes or applications
- Support and coach new starters, foundation and modern apprentices, monitor and review progress and provide additional support where and when necessary
- Submit detailed reports to line manager on progress against objectives and workflow
- To prepare and deliver systems and soft skills training packages to new and existing employees as and when the business requires
- Assist with management / leadership development across the organisation
- Support and contribute to gaining Investors in People status by creating and delivering meaningful, exciting and engaging interventions
- Dually a recognized training qualification at level 3 or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of Learning and Development Cycle and the 70:20:10 process
- IT skills, in particular PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Good knowledge and demonstration of coaching; mentoring methodologies
- Able to work under pressure, use initiative and constantly seek to improve
- To be able to monitor own progress towards business and individual SMART objectives
- Displaying strong motivational, customer service, guest experience and organisational skills
- Able to demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to engage a variety of learners
- Experience in e-learning design and creation would be advantageous
- Proficient in the use and development of video-based content in a Learning and Development context desirable
