Responsibilities

  • Understand the Demand Plan and how it is used to create a finished goods production plan, which in turn is used to generate a supply plan for other manufactured components and intermediate materials.
  • Create and maintain accurate and achievable production plans in the ERP system, taking account of capacity and material availability constraints.
  • Have a detailed understanding of bills of materials and routings and the importance of master data accuracy.
  • Understand the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) process and how this creates supply and demand proposals and associated exceptions.
  • Meet regularly with Production Departments to monitor actual vs planned production performance and maintain an agreed, achievable production schedule.
  • Identify, investigate and escalate where necessary, any risks to the delivery of the production plan, especially where customer service, product availability or inventory policy is at risk of being compromised.
  • Constantly monitor inventory to ensure it remains within policy and shelf life requirements.
  • Generate weekly reports on e.g., product availability, conformance to plan and schedule attainment.
Requirements
  • GCSE English & Maths.
  • Production Planning experience within any ERP package i.e. IFS, Sage, SAP etc.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel (pivot tables, V look ups etc.), Word & Power Point.
  • Excellent communication skills, well organized & proactive, hardworking &committed, enthusiastic, ability to manage time effectively.
