Responsibilities
- Act as a business partner for all financial related activity for Radio Access and CTIL. Create a cost awareness culture and facilitate the financial requirements of the domain.
- Month end close for Access Radio and CTIL. Manage Radio access accruals to incorporate any changes from new Beacon contract.
- Provide financial oversight, control and reporting of Network Capex.
- Manage the monthly capex risks and opportunities and review these with the Head of Network Finance.
- Ensure all Access Radio and CTIL spend is in line with budget and the latest single grid plan with the appropriate supporting documentation
- Daily Purchase approvals e.g. POs, PRs, CPAs
- Weekly Site declaration review and approval
- Review and challenge business cases for Access
- Ensure spend is approved through the appropriate governance and provide advice to Network Operations as needed
- Work closely with Network procurement to challenge and align purchasing processes.
- Work with Networks and CTIL to produce budget, forecast and 3 year plan for capex areas.
- Perform ad hoc performance analysis and reporting as needed
Skills & experience
- Ideally from a telecoms or technology background.
- Good knowledge of accounting, finance systems, financial statements (knowledge of Oracle and Microstrategy an advantage)
- Excellent excel skills and the ability to produce robust financial models.
- Studying Accountant (part qualified)
- Excellent communication skills – can easily form and increasingly leverage relationships to get a desired outcome
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing, complex and detailed information in an easy to understand manner to all levels of the business
- Ability to prioritise multiple demands on time, to remain focused on areas of value add
- Self-motivating – experience of setting own agenda and knowing when to look for support
