Responsibilities
- Well planning work for platform wells including Landmark engineering modeling, liaison with service providers and contractor, peer reviews and risk assessments.
- Support Asset Team in subsurface planning of wells with decision support information, technical limit & benchmarking, cost estimates, HSE notifications and other permits.
- Drilling engineering support during the execution phase including development of detail well design, programs, performance monitoring or optimisation and drill the well on paper exercise.
- Offshore visits/support during the well execution phase.
- Well look backs and final well reports post execution phase.
- Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Ability to design and prepare directional and ERD drilling programs for platform wells, including pore pressure prediction, casing design, drill string design, risk assessments, torque - drag predictions, fluids, cement selections, etc.
- Effective in providing day to day operational support to the Drilling Supt during assigned well operations.
- Works well with others in a multi-functional team environment. Able to interact effectively with peers, and external bodies such as regulators, service and contractor representatives etc.
- Holds well control certification at subsea supervisor level.
