Responsibilities
- To commission case commentary from expert contributors and expert panel members across multiple legal practice areas to provide on-the-day current awareness comment
- To build and maintain strong relationships with these authors and panel members to ensure delivery of daily case comment as required
- Take responsibility for all administrative aspects relating to the commissioning process (invoicing, payments, contracts, etc.)
- In conjunction with the Current Awareness Team, to oversee all aspects of the delivery and output of the content to ensure quality and consistency
- To build and maintain strong relationships with all internal teams engaged in the creation of the current awareness comment and to collaborate effectively to improve the quality of the current awareness output
- To proofread copy
- To review, and carry out post-publication quality control, of published content
Skills and qualifications
- University graduate—preferably Journalism/Law/English/Politics/Accountancy or qualified by experience in the B2B/Professional publishing industry
- Willing to learn new skills and adapt to new ways of working
- Deadline driven who is happy to deliver content to tight and demanding timescales across multiple projects
- Tech savvy
- Broad understanding of legal and tax markets and the UK legal system is an advantage
- Familiarity with content management systems is an advantage
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Willingness to take on administrative tasks
- Strong spoken communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to influence and persuade others
- Familiar with spreadsheets and databases
