Responsibilities
•Implement approved opportunities to reduce the use of natural capital and associated carbon emissions
•Manage all 3rd party partnerships within the environment programme
•While based in our London office, work closely with our Regional Programme Manager to maintain coherence across all Investec UK and certain other Investec offices' environmental initiatives
•Engage our employees and partners in the environmental programmes, promote environmental best practice, and monitor and report on our environmental footprint
•Manage our employee environmental volunteering initiatives such as tree planting
•Deliver engaging communications, including newsletters and award entries
•Manage certain environmentally themed annual events such as World Water Day, World Environment Day and Clean Air Day
•Present at new starter inductions
Requirements
•Knowledge, understanding and passion in broad environmental issues
•Drive to make positive sustainable environmental differences across the board
•Keen interest in environmental research
•Experience organising events
•Experience in fundraising
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Engaging presentation skills
•Ability to work pro-actively and collaboratively
