Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of integrated communications plans designed to maximize the growth of Motor Trend products in all International (ex-US) markets
- Determine appropriate media mix for driving most cost-efficient results
- Liaise with Discovery in-house Media Strategy + Analytics team to plan media strategies and budget allocation to achieve target KPIs for efficient acquisition.
- Collaborate with Discovery local country organizations to ensure best support for products, including leveraging linear TV marketing
- Define user journey for each market to ensure best effectiveness for all digital marketing
- Identify and close deals with marketing partners (events, magazines, retailers, websites) to support MotorTrend in markets
- Recruit and manage local marketing heads in key markets to support digital products
- Manage information flow between departments to ensure all materials communicate brand objectives and positioning.
- Ensure all marketing communications are true to the brand, vision and values
- Develop and maintain an organized Marketing activation calendar in order to keep all stakeholders informed and prepared for upcoming initiatives.
- Degree level or above
- Deep experience working in business-to-consumer (B2C) media companies with digital content. Familiarity with both subscription- and advertising-based business models would be ideal.
- Deep experience collaborating with Creative and Media teams to develop highly effective marketing campaigns and communications platforms, including the implementation of consumer acquisition and/or retention marketing tactics and plans.
- Comprehensive understanding of key marketing + campaign metrics and the ability to harness those metrics to inform insight-driven marketing and/or business decisions.
- Extensive familiarity with using customer segmentation and data, test, target and measure marketing campaigns and advanced, innovative digital strategies
- Experience managing a CRM and data system to enhance a subscription and advertising business and more effectively communicate with and engage consumers.
- Organizational and communication skills are a priority. Candidate should be able to confidently express their ideas and point-of-view in written, team, and presentation settings.
- Proven leadership skills and a passion for developing more junior talent.
- A passion for cars would be preferable.
