Responsibilities
- Lead all engineering activities within the HVAC and Powertrain Cooling technical projects team, including design, development, verification and vehicle systems design to meet customer needs
- Manage and develop the Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning systems within vehicles, as well as Powertrain Cooling – engine cooling, charge air cooling & oil cooling
- Work closely and lead a team to design concepts, elaborate system design & technical specs
- Deliver validated products into production
- Ensure all requirements, specifications and supporting components are defined, approved & signed-off
- Leading the upfront development and testing of new designs to identify issues and improvements
- Guiding test & development engineers throughout the development & testing phases to ensure that each project milestone is successfully approved and to schedule
- Leading the definition of, and compliance with relevant internal international standards, best practice and legislation
- Essential to have worked within the Automotive/Manufacturing sector
- Must have experience gained in testing, validation, compressed air systems, thermodynamics and vehicle chassis design
- HVAC experience – ideally within the automotive sector
- Previous experience of overseeing and leading a team of various engineers and provide guidance
- Ideally be degree qualified or equivalent
- A technically advanced individual to manage multiple projects
- Effective problem solving and continuous improvement mindset
- Strong project, technical, time-management and communication skills
- Willingness to travel around the UK to other sites and meet with customers
- Preferable to have experience with CAD
